" . . . he who is not busy BEING BORN is busy dying . . ." Bob Dylan In this case, it was Alexander Marc Edward Stock, born in January 1998 at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz.
Alex's arrival was a bit of a shock for Charlie. On the right is the first picture of the two of them at Dominican Hospital.
Above is Alex's first bottle on the day that he was born. The hospital provided the family with a lovely room and a full size bed, but Marie-Hélène wanted to be at home. With the Doctors' permission, she checked out seven hours after checking in, and did not even stay the night!
Here's Charlie again holding on tight to his mum.
And finally, to approach things a little bit backwards, here is Marie-Hélène on the deck at home a couple of days before the birth.
